Madison Elementary Volunteer Program
Anoka-Hennepin School District requires that volunteers complete the application process each school year. This paperwork is necessary if you plan to help in the classroom, attend field trips, or help with evening events like the Spring Carnival and Track & Field Day. Please note: Field trip chaperones, challenge reading and math plus leaders and book fair workers require additional processing by the volunteer coordinator. Please notify Amy Hoseck, Volunteer Coordinator at (763) 506-3340 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least two weeks prior to volunteering for these opportunities.
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Weekly Packets/Clerical Help: We need volunteers to staple take-home papers on Tuesdays @ 2:30 in the cafeteria. We also have copying, cutting, laminating projects during this time. This is ongoing through the school year so if you could help every week or once/twice per month, please join us!
Workroom Help: We have a couple of projects (Labeling, cutting, pasting). Please let me know if you can come in sometime this week.
Math Plus Leaders: We are looking for volunteers to lead a group of 6-8 students through preset activities, games and discussions. The Math Plus Program meets one day/week after school for 8-10 weeks. (We still have 4 openings.) The Math Plus training (required) is Monday, November 18, 2013, 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Staff Development Center, 2727 Ferry St., Anoka. Please let me know if you would like more information or to be registered for the training.
Safety Volunteers: We still need volunteers to help maintain and reinforce our safety rules in front of the building before and after school. This will be ongoing throughout the school year but especially in these first few months. The shifts are 8:50-9:05 and 3:35-3:55.
Classroom Helpers: If you'd like to volunteer for your student's class, please contact the teacher directly.
Thank you for volunteering your time and talent at Madison Elementary. Please let me know if you have any questions!
