Parenting a teen can be a challenge but learning how best to help them make wise decisions in this digital world is more important than ever. Please join us for an informational night on Internet safety, cyber-bullying and social media next Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Anoka-Hennepin district office building in Anoka which is just a few blocks north of Hwy 10 on Ferry Street. Roosevelt’s own technology teacher Will Powell will be a presenter.
Our current superintendent Dennis Carlson will be retiring at the end of the school year. Two meetings have been scheduled to give community members an opportunity to provide input on the qualities they want in their next superintendent. The first is also on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Anoka-Hennepin district office building on Ferry Street in Anoka. The second is Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m., at Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy Elementary on 109th Avenue in Champlin. You are also invited to take a brief online survey to provide input. A link to the survey is available on our school website. The survey is available now through Nov. 18 in Spanish and Hmong as well as English.
